Alfagrog Ceramic Porous Filter Media
Alfagrog Ceramic Porous Filter Media for Ponds & Aquariums
Alfagrog is a porous foamed and hardened ceramic material, which is lightweight, strong and inert. It's high surface area makes it the natural choice for colonisation by micro organisms in biological filtration systems resulting in cleaner water.
To manufacture Alfagrog, various clays and raw materials are rapidly fused at high temperature to produce a foamed ceramic porous mass, which is crushed and sectioned to a convenient particle size. It is manufactured using materials which are safe for use around all livestock and plants.
Alfagrog provides optimum media surface area, suitable for all varying flow rates. It is pH neutral, and suitable for freshwater and marine setups. Anerobic media, like Alfagrog, is great for helping to reduce nitrates and keep water clear. Alfagrog is commonly used as standard in Biorb aquariums and similar nano tank designs.
Supplied loose in different sizes, please select desired weight from dropdown above.
