The coldwater Albino Sterlet is a great addition to a large freshwater pond. A pond of at least 8,000 litres is needed for these guys to grow and live happily. They are very inquisitive, have great character and will often come up close.

Ease of care
Moderate. They need a large pond of at least 8,000 litres with a good filter and pump system. An air pump will also be needed.
Diet
Sinking Sturgeon pellets. They will need feeding all year round.
Compatibility
They are a peaceful fish so can be placed with other Sturgeon, Koi or Goldfish. Nothing small enough to fit into there mouths.
Breeding/ Sex
Intermediate. They spawn between May and June when at least 18 years old.
Life Span
They can live to anything from 25-30 years in perfect conditions.
